Research process and reliabilityThe MNO Directory 2013 has been researched in house, led by Mark Thomas, who has led all of the research for the directory series since 2006 (MNO Directory, MVNO Directory, WiMAX Directory, and the Fixed Line Directory). Each edition contains a media review, operator by operator study and a data proofing and cleansing process. Subscriber data
Data included in the directory ranges from Q1 2008 through to Q2 2012. In providing subscriber data the researchers have used operator, group, regulator and estimated data. In some instances no data is provided. Exact details about the data on offer can be found here.
Network technology data
In researching the directory the team tracks many network launches. Included in the network profiles are details of the technologies currently on offer. Mainly this includes 2G standards and their launch dates as well as various 3G launches and more recently, details of WiMAX and LTE offers.
Management contacts
Included in the directory are details of senior managers. These managers range from Chief Executives through to Vice Presidents. There are over 3,400 managers named in the directory. See here for more info.
Contact information
Main contact information is included in the directory. This includes the head quarters address as well as the switchboard contact number. In some instances other contact information has been used in place of this information, such as a corporate HQ contact of a parent company where no local contact information is available.
